Engineering
Engineered quotes are created in the ERP system with input from operations, quality, and production control. At Centex we feel it is critical to get individuals from key areas involved to assure the smoothest transition from the quote to live production. Input on possible manufacturability issues and even cost reductions are also reviewed and delivered to the customer for their consideration and assessment during the quote process.
Once the job is awarded engineering will detail out the production router and create any additional documents or internal CAD’s needed to process the product. This may include customer specifications and procedures as well as industry standards (e.g. – ASTM, MIL, etc.) which will be detailed on the router to assure compliance at each and every operation. Additionally, engineering will work with quality to get the inspection plans for the in-process and final inspection steps defined and released.
Following production the job will be reviewed by engineering and operations for any possible improvements that can be made within the established process. If there are any processing issues they will be addressed through corrective actions or other methods to assure additional future orders do not have repeat issues (as applicable).
